Transformer mineral oil is used as an electrical insulation and to assist in heat dissipation inside the transformer tank. The transformer is also equipped with special protection equipment such as Low Voltage Circuit Breaker installed inside the transformer tank and Lightning Arrestors to suppress the effects of lightning. It is currently supplied only to the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) in Thailand.

Used in the MEA distribution line for electricity supply in Bangkok and Greater Bangkok. Suitable where limited space available for installation of protection equipment or where high levels of safety are required
